The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center is hiring a Training & Volunteer Specialist

The position is responsible for organizing and marketing training programs for volunteer attorneys providing pro bono legal services to Pro Bono Center clients, as well as training programs for nonprofit and small business clients of the Center. The position helps recruit volunteers, provides information to D.C. Bar members about pro bono opportunities and assists with special projects. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, two writing samples, and salary requirements here.

This Practice Area is designed to prepare volunteer lawyers for their Projects & Clinics experiences by providing a preview of the training materials and forms. Current volunteers for community legal clinics and related projects that have posted content on the site are eligible to join this Practice Area.

The Projects & Clinics Practice Area also is a valuable resource to practitioners who are on-site providing legal services through one of our programs or clinics.

The Library is divided into a series of "virtual" file cabinets containing much of the material used at the various Projects & Clinics operating throughout the community.

If you are searching for individual volunteer opportunities, please visit the Calendar or the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center's website.

If you are a legal services provider and wish to post your organization's material in this Practice Area, please contact Lise Adams at ladams ~ at ~ or (202) 737-4700, ext. 3295.

To join, go to "Join this Area" on the left tool bar and register for your membership. Remember to indicate with which program you volunteer. You should be admitted within 24 hours.
