Legal Aid of North Carolina

Legal Aid of North Carolina is a statewide, nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity. We are an innovative, creative, progressive, and efficient civil legal service provider to the poor, working toward an inclusive justice system of equal access.

We have pro bono programs to fit all schedules, levels of experience, and interests in different areas of law. When you serve as a pro bono volunteer with Legal Aid of North Carolina, we stay with you every step of the way. Our Pro Bono Programs team is dedicated to helping you succeed. From the point you agree to take a case all the way until you complete it, we'll be by your side. Our pro bono volunteers received training, mentoring, and ample public recognition. Malpractice insurance is available.
