Legal Momentum

Legal Momentum advances the rights of women and girls by using the power of the law and creating innovative public policy. Cooperating attorneys assist with litigation, public policy research, and creating public education materials.

Legal Momentum offers a wide range of pro bono opportunities in several project and programmatic areas, including serving as lead counsel or co-counsel in litigation, researching and drafting legal memoranda and briefs, preparing Congressional testimony, drafting model legislation, and drafting informational pamphlets on legal topics.  Prospective pro bono counsel should expect most of their work to involve legal research and writing.  Projects are assigned as litigation, legislative or research needs arise.
