Renters must avoid pitfalls to maintain their housing (TN)

"The affordable housing issue has spread across the entire state. By working with low-income clients from across Legal Aid’s 48-county service area, our attorneys find that, generally, there is a widespread lack of safe, decent, affordable housing for people with modest incomes.

Given this decreased supply of affordable housing, renters must know which pitfalls to avoid to stay in their current housing. Protecting your existing housing and keeping your record clean for future landlords is a must during such a volatile time. Residents need to protect themselves, and can do so by adhering to their responsibilities as renters."
