State Bar of South Dakota Access to Justice, Inc.

Access to Justice, Inc. (A2J), was formed by the State Bar of South Dakota in 2005 to supplement services the state's two legal services programs were attempting to provide to indigent people who lacked resources to hire an attorney to help them with their legal problems. Both legal services programs are severely underfunded and, therefore, understaffed. A2J is able to provide sample pleadings and arrange assistance from a mentor or law student to help lawyers who volunteer to handle state pro bono cases.
