Eligibility for public benefits for non-citizens is complicated. Allison Miles-Lee (Bread for the City) and Krisztina Szabo (Whitman-Walker Health) will provide an introductory overview of immigrant eligibility for DC and federal public benefit programs. Krisztina Szabo will also provide an overview of common immigration statuses for D.C. area residents and the public charge ground of inadmissibility.  Presenters will also discuss immigration status and eligibility for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act.
