As a means to keep members of MontanaProBono.net updated on new information and resources we have launched a bi-monthly newsletter. New staff member, Brian Tagliaferro, has been hired to facilitate content development on MontanaProBono.net in an effort to better service the pro bono needs of our members.

You can now access healthlaw.org through MontanaProBono.net, the new National Health Law Program (NHeLP)Web site.
NHeLP is a national public interest law firm that seeks to improve health care for America's working and unemployed poor, minorities, the elderly and people with disabilities. NHeLP serves legal services programs, community-based organizations, the private bar, providers and individuals who work to preserve a health care safety net for the millions of uninsured or underinsured low-income people.
Just log in at http://www.MontanaProBono.net, select Montana Advocate Resources under "Practice Areas," listed on the left hand menu. A new page will display, go to "Practice Areas" again and click on healtlaw.org.

Three Helena lawyers were honored by the 1st Judicial District Bar Association on March 16th for their volunteer work on behalf of low-income Montanans.

* Economic Insecurity of Low-Wage Working Families
The National Center for Children in Poverty explains a "Catch 22" for low-wage working families. As parents increase their earnings, families begin to lose eligibility for the public benefits that support work, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit, health insurance, and food stamps.
