On April 3, Illinois Legal Aid Online launched two completely redesigned websites--IllinoisLegalAdvocate.org for legal aid advocates and IllinoisProBono.org for pro bono attorneys. The new websites are the result of over a year of research & development. We have added a number of personalized features to the sites, including a home page that recommends legal content, news, and events based on the individual's user history and profile. Both sites highlight events of interest in the statewide calendar. IllinoisProBono.org highlights volunteer opportunities based on the pro bono attorneys' volunteer profile. We also added a "My Program Space" on the home page that highlights news and events from the user's program.

In addition to the personalization, we have added a searchable, tag-able link library that allows users to share (or not share) favorites, an integrated RSS aggregator that automatically brings in all the news from the national RSS server but also allows individuals to add their own private RSS feeds as well, private contacts directory that integrates with the statewide legal aid organization & staff directories, a more sophisticated volunteer opportunity search, an improved search engine, and the ability to filter information by content type and problem code and save those filters.
