The Institute for Language and Education Policy is an organization that is "dedicated to promoting research-based policies in serving English and heritage language learners."

The Language Policy Research Unit at Arizona State University "supports interaction among researchers, policy-makers, other decision-makers in the area of language policy and planning for education and society."

The American Friends Service Committee is committed to the principles of nonviolence and justice, their information about immigration in America declares that "no human being is illegal."

The Bay Area Immigrant Rights Coalition is a "a broad-based coalition of individuals and organizations working to build a unified voice for immigrant rights that transforms and improves the lives of immigrants."

The Center for Multilingual, Multicultural Research has a huge list of resources on language rights and policy spanning the political spectrum from fundamental documents (Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence) to various reports on language rights and access.

Immigration Equality is a national organization fighting for equality under U.S. immigration law for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and HIV-positive individuals.

The ACLU has been one of the leading advocates for the rights of immigrants, refugees and non-citizens. Its Immigrants Rights Project has news, ways to take action, and lots of great background information on the history of immigration in this country.

The Immigrant Solidarity Network has national news and information for grassroots activists.

The National Immigrant Law Center "protects and promotes the rights and opportunities of low-income immigrants and their family members."

The New York Immigrant Coalition is "an umbrella policy and advocacy organization for approximately 190 groups in New York State that work with immigrants and refugees."
