IMMIGRANT RIGHTS

America is a country that has always been populated by—in fact it was created from and has prospered because of—large immigrant communities. And yet many of these communities have suffered enormous economic hardship, discrimination, fear and hostility. Although the Consitution doesn't give foreigners the right to enter the United States, it does guarantee them freedom from discrimination based on national origin or race.

However, laws have been passed to increase "homeland security" or "protect" our borders that have been shown to target immigrants unfairly. And recent court rulings have made it harder to even get a case into court, even if discrimination happened.
