Almost 100 in-depth oral histories and other materials give voice to the disability rights and independent living movement in a unique, rich, and vital website created by the University of California at Berkeley.

The Bancroft Library's regional oral history office started the site, and it gives visitors a rich resource and entry into the movement by people with disabilities to win legally determined civil rights, self-determination, and control over their lives.

The site hosts its collection of interviews with the movement's leaders and participants, along with documents, photos, video and audio.
