Organize an Event

The National Campaign to Restore Civil Rights recognizes that the battle to defend civil rights for all Americans cannot be fought in the courts alone. Your commitment to fairness and justice as well as your ability to cultivate awareness and community involvement are just as important.

We know that talking about the issues is the first step to doing something about them. Many Americans don't fully realize or understand the impact that judges on the Supreme Court and other federal courts have on our daily lives. You can help educate people on this critical issue.

Talking About Civil Rights

Initiate a dialogue. Invite your friends, neighbors, and community members to meet-up to discuss civil rights. You can use NCRCR
talking points, and the film "Take Back the Courts,"  to help start the conversation.

When planning your event, please consider the following locations:

Also, consider hosting a NCRCR House Party. You could host an afternoon gathering over milk and cookies, a potluck with a film screening, or a late-night party with cocktails and raucous discussions. Download our House Party Kit by clicking here

NCRCR offers a companion Guide to the film, "Taking Back the Courts".  Contact us at rollback@nylpi.org to request the Guide and a copy of the film. If you would like to host a speaker at your event, click here for our Speaker's List.
