YouTube Transcription: How Do You See Civil Rights?

Speaker: I think, the top struggles for me is, recognizing that although black people may have achieved a certain level in middle class-ness or upper class-ness, that doesn’t mean that black people on a whole are being treated equally when applying for jobs, or for loans, or wanting to be in politics.  As a woman even though women may be advancing in the corporate world, that doesn’t mean women are still being treated equally, applying for jobs, or applying for loans, or getting into politics.  So I think those are the civil rights issues that I would say for me, but I don’t think it would necessarily apply to people in my generation who don’t have the same other categories as I do.
