WE'RE HIRING A PART-TIME WEB COORDINATOR

The National Campaign to Restore Civil Rights seeks applications for a part-time web coordinator. Applicants should demonstrate strong technical skills and a commitment to civil rights issues.

The National Campaign to Restore Civil Rights (Campaign) is a national collaboration of lawyers, academics, students, community activists, and concerned individuals who have joined together in response to recent federal court decisions that are eroding civil rights protections. The Campaign works to link individuals and groups from the many communities affected by the rollback of civil rights in the courts including people and groups interested in women?s rights, racial justice, disability rights, environmental justice, language rights, and worker?s rights, among others. The Campaign is housed in the offices of the New York Lawyers for the Public Interest.

The Campaign's online presence is a critical tool in conducting outreach, sharing information and educating the public about the civil rights rollback. The Campaign maintains a website (http://www.rollbackcampaign.org), a blog (http://rollback.typepad.com), a private information-sharing website and a Facebook site. Like the Campaign itself, the online presence is a collaborative effort that takes coordination and management.

The time commitment for this position is at least twenty hours a week.
