WHAT IS DIVERSITY?

Diversity is an assortment of different kinds of things. Look around you at all the different trees, buildings, clouds, and books there are. And all the different kinds of hats, shoes, and jackets.

Look around your school. How many different colors of hair do you see? How many shades of skin color? How many different languages are spoken in your classroom? How many different kinds of food do people bring from home?

Check out all these resources that help us think about what diversity means and why it's important.
