This training provides an overview of basic concepts in immigration law. Topics to be covered include family- and employment-based immigration, lawful permanent residency, employment authorization, grounds of inadmissibility and deportability, temporary protected status, asylum and withholding of removal, and naturalization and citizenship. No prior knowledge of immigration law is required.  This training will be conducted by Camille Mackler, Director of Legal Initiatives at the NYIC.
