Online dispute resolution

Topics:
  • Technology

How can we use technology and new dispute resolution processes to improve access to justice in the public system? Representatives from the British Columbia Ministry of Attorney General will demonstrate a new online dispute resolution system built to move the business of courts and tribunals online, through user-focused, cloud-based technology that has been in operation for over a year. They’ll share some early public feedback and analytics, and discuss special topics including the ways intelligent technology is being used in BC to streamline intake, deliver customized legal guidance for small claims and other matters, and shift the focus of public dispute resolution into new areas like dispute containment and prevention.

Speakers:

Darin Thompson, Legal Counsel, BC Ministry of Attorney General

Mac Campbell, Director of Business Transformation, BC Ministry of Attorney General
