NCSC Court Technology Conference: Self Represented Litigation
- By: National Center for State Courts
Court Technology Conference "CTC" 2013 features a dedicated educational track on Self-Represented Litigants (SRL) - meaning three days of focused, comprehensive, and wide-ranging sessions specifically devoted to SRL. Of course, there are five other educational tracks for you to pick and choose from. Don't miss CTC 2013, September 17-19 in Baltimore, MD.
Today, more parties than ever participate in litigation without an attorney. In some case types, like domestic, a majority of cases now involve at least one pro se party. CTC 2013's SRL track - Track A -- is dedicated to investigating how technology can assist self-represented litigants. Track A sessions will discuss:
- progress in designing and implementing user-friendly self-help portals,
- a roadmap toward a court technology environment that SRLs can successfully navigate, and
- future opportunities arising from ubiquitous mobile devices.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn current and predicted SRL trends and the most up-to-date technology to improve self-represented litigation.
CTC features a ton of other educational content. Review the entire program at the CTC website.
Registration and travel information are available at ctc2013.com. We hope to see you in Baltimore.
