The Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP) model provides an opportunity for attorneys and health care providers to work together to alleviate patients’ health challenges stemming from unaddressed, underlying legal issues. Come learn from a panel of legal practitioners who engage in MLPs across Southern California. MLPs can be formed in a variety of ways with different types of therapeutic partners. The training will focus on ethical issues and best practices in forming MLPs with different types of providers, developing working relationships with partners while maintaining client confidentiality, and related topics.
