Virginia State Bar Annual Pro Bono Conference and Celebration on Wednesday, October 18, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The conference will be held in conjunction with the Virginia Legal Aid Conference and features CLE sessions, a networking reception, and the Pro Bono Awards Dinner and Ceremony at which the Lewis F. Powell Jr. Pro Bono Award and Frankie Muse Freeman Organizational Pro Bono Award will be presented.

Anita Earls, executive director of the Southern Coalition for Social Justice (SCSJ) will be the keynote speaker. The SCSJ “...partners with communities of color and economically disadvantaged communities in the south to defend and advance their political, social and economic rights through the combination of legal advocacy, research, organizing and communications.”
