Human Trafficking Training

Registration begins at 8:00AM and the program will begin promptly at 8:30AM

Human Trafficking is a nationwide epidemic and Florida is ranked third in the nation.  Human Trafficking victims may appear in different types of state court cases; criminal, family, domestic violence, juvenile delinquency, juvenile dependency, ordinance violations, and civil cases.  Judges, General Magistrates, Case Managers,  Attorneys and Psychologists are in a prime position to identify victims and respond to their needs effectively.  This intensive training will provide you with information on: Florida’s Anti-Human Trafficking Laws, Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC)/Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking risk factors, CSEC Victims in the Dependency System, pathways to entry, indicators of human trafficking, the trauma behind the abuse, and what steps to take if you suspect human trafficking.  Psychologists who conduct evaluations for the court and for SIPP placements are encouraged to attend.
