Law students will hold a Teen Court session at the Forsyth County Courthouse in downtown Winston-Salem. Teen Court is an alternative to juvenile court, available to first time offenders under the age of sixteen. The law students act as prosecutor and defense attorneys while the juvenile offender goes through a sentencing hearing in front of a judge and jury. If the juvenile completes the sentence, the offense is erased from his or her permanent record.
