The State Bar of Michigan's Domestic Violence Committee is offering an in-person training at the Auburn Hills campus of WMU Cooley Law School, with a simultaneous broadcast to WMU Cooley's campuses in Lansing and Grand Rapids. The event is free of charge with the commitment to accept a pro bono family law case within six months of the training. The training will be provided by attorneys with many years of hands-on family law experience and will cover trauma-informed practice, substantive legal issues, pleadings, and pretrial and trial practices as they relate to family law cases with domestic violence components. This training is excellent for attorneys who are new to the area of family law and domestic violence, or experienced attorneys looking for a refresher course.
