Rhode Island Legal Services, Inc. (RILS) is honoring the Rhode Island Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyer Program (VLP) with an annual Equal Justice Award for the VLP's outstanding pro bono legal aid. Bar President Michael R. McElroy will accept the award on behalf of the Bar. Past Rhode Island Bar Association President Justin Holden will also receive an Equal Justice Award for his long pro bono service. The Rhode Island Legal Services' Equal Justice Awards Celebration is Wednesday, October, 24th, from 5:30-8:00 pm, and the Awards Ceremony at 6:30 pm. At the Courtyard by Marriott, 32 Excnage Terrace, in Providence. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and cash bar. There is an event donation of $50.00.
