Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (CSH) attorneys Amanda Smiley and Mica Worthy will be participating in a pro bono drive and chili cook off in efforts to raise support for Charlotte area legal services organizations.

Smiley and Worthy are both graduates of the 2012 Mecklenburg County Bar's Bar Leadership Institute (BLI). Each BLI class is assigned the task of planning a group project to benefit the Bar and local community. The 2012 class has chosen to raise funds, as well as pro bono hours from fellow attorneys, through a pro bono drive and chili cook off that will benefit Legal Aid of North Carolina, Legal Services of Southern Piedmont, United Family Services, and the Council for Children's Rights.

The chili cook-off will be held from Noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 27 at the Olde Mecklenburg Brewery in Charlotte. Admission will be $10 per person with all proceeds benefitting the aforementioned legal services organizations.
