Representatives of Tapestri will provide Troutman Sanders lawyers with an overview of their organization and the pro bono opportunities available.
Tapestri is a non-profit organization that provides services to and advocacy for immigrant and refugee families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and exploitation. Tapestri provides education, community organizing, direct services and advocacy to effect change in the lives of these families. The organization does not provide legal services but instead refers its clientele to legal organizations and attorneys that provide pro bono representation (in the areas of family law, criminal law and immigration law, among others). They then work collaboratively with the attorneys to ensure all the clients' needs are met.
