October 25 at 3 p.m., Albany Law School will welcome Katrina J. Eagle--widely recognized as one of America's leading Veterans' Rights attorneys today --as the featured presenter in a Continuing Legal Education training focusing on key legal issues faced by homless veterans. This CLE training marks the first event of the law school's new Veterans' Rights Pro Bono Project, in which Albany Law students are partnering with the Albany Housing Coalition (www.ahcvets.org<http://www.ahcvets.org>) and area legal professionals to assist homeless veterans in a variety of ways.
Ms. Eagle, Vice-President of the National Organization of Veterans Advocates, has represented veterans in multiple courts and other arenas for several years. (http://eagleveteranslaw.com/Curriculum_Vitae.html). She will be flying out from San Diego, CA, to Albany for this training, and is graciously volunteering her time to do so. Greg T. Rinckey, Managing Partner of Tully Rinckey PLLC, and Glenn Read and Director of Veterans Services at the Albany Housing Coalition will also speak.
The training will be recorded online and will be available nationally on the ABA Pro Bono Celebration website for viewing as a "webinar", thus giving additional visibility to the law school and its pro bono efforts.
