As part of MVLP's pro bono celebration, Mediation: Helping couples Meet in the Middle is scheduled for Oct. 23, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Jackson Medical Mall Common Area at 350 West Woodrow Wilson Drive in Jackson. Volunteer attorneys will work with pre-screened clients to mediate their contested divorces. After a pro bono mediator has helped a couple resolve their issues of dispute, a volunteer attorney will prepare a joint complaint for divorce. Both spouses must be present to have their issues mediated. Couples seeking divorce should bring documents including marriage license, pay stubs to verify income, court orders related to their children, and any other documents associated with their case. For more information, contact MVLP at 601-960-9577.
