This year marks the second annual National Pro Bono Celebration, sponsored by the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service. During the last week in October, the judiciary, law schools, law firms, bar associations, and other legal groups across the nation will recognize work done on behalf of the poor and underserved. To celebrate Pro Bono Week, the D.C. Circuit Standing Committee and judges of the D.C. Circuit Judicial Conference will recognize and salute the efforts of those nonprofit organizations and legal services attorneys that make pro bono possible.
