A BCIS Tech Update for any interested parties:

I have just learned that the San Francisco Asylum Office now possesses the technology to scan a visa or passport and are able to access any visa applications submitted at US embassies overseas, including seeing a photograph of whoever appeared for the visa interview at the embassy. This can be done while an asylum interview is in progress. Be certain that clients are prepared to answer questions about embassy experience before going for an asylum interview.
