Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association (VLP)

The Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association (VLP) was established in 1977 to provide legal representation in civil matters to the indigent of Boston primarily through the pro bono services of private attorneys and paralegals. It is among the oldest organized pro bono efforts in the country. 

VLP also operates the Eastern Region Legal Intake (ERLI) telephone helpline which provides information and referral, brief advice, and intake for some legal aid programs.
