Embedding a Widget

On this page we will review what you need to embed a widget and how to embed a widget on an LH3 site.

If you are confused after reading this short instructional, feel free to email us at support@lawhelp.org. We have also demonstrated how to embed a widget on a coordinator call, and you can find the notes here.

If you are looking to embed an LH3 widget on another agencies site, please click here.

What you will need

Embed Code

Please Note: If you are trying to create a widget to display a content page, please click here. These widgets are automatically generated, and handled differently. An embed code will look similar to this:

A CKEditor to house the widget

These can be found in a sidebar editor, a homepage editor, the HTML (or FAQ) Resource module, or pretty much anywhere you can enter text.

Three easy steps

After opening your CKEditor, press the source button.

Paste your embed code into the text box of the editor.

Press source again to see a preview of your widget.

That's it. Pressing save will complete the process, and you can always go in to edit the height, width etc, but basically, those three steps embed the widget onto your site.

Note: This page is adapted from a longer piece of documentation supporting the LHI widget that can be found here. However, this basic formula works with all embeddable widgets.
