Announcing Pro Bono Net's Spring/Summer 2007 Tuesday Training Series

We are happy to announce Pro Bono Net's Spring/Summer 2007 Tuesday Trainings Series!

Please feel free to forward this to other statewide website administrators in your organization. Trainings will take place on Tuesdays at 2pm ET/1pm CT/12pm MT/11am PT. Most will last approx. 90 minutes and be conducted online via GoToMeeting. To RSVP, please send an email to info@lawhelp.org with the training dates that you would like to attend. There is a maximum of 20 participants per training.

APRIL
4/17 - Getting the Most Out of Pro Bono Net's Program Site Template
This session will provide an overview of the Pro Bono Net program site template, focusing on techniques to utilize the template to its full potential. It will feature examples of websites that have used the template in innovative ways for a variety of purposes, from organization homepages to tutorial micro-sites. It will also show participants how to use the template's administrative interface and easy-to-use content administration tools to enhance their own program sites. This training is appropriate for both new program site admins and experienced admins who want to learn some new tricks.

MAY
5/15 - Introduction to LawHelp Usage Reporting Tools
This session will provide an introduction, or a refresher, on how to find and understand the usage reporting tools available on your LawHelp public site. This training will highlight both summary and detailed usage reports, as well as WebTrends. This is an introductory training for LawHelp admin staff to the reporting tools.

5/22 - Advanced Uses of RSS
This training is a follow-up to the RSS training offered in Fall 2006. It will briefly cover the nuts and bolts of RSS (Really Simple Syndication) and then explore some advanced tools and uses of RSS feeds. The training will explain how to integrate these feeds into various applications such as feed aggregators and web browsers as well as show you how to manipulate and repurpose feeds using free online tools such as FeedBurner and Yahoo Pipes.

JUNE
6/19 - Working with Multilingual Functionality on LawHelp
This session will provide an overview of the multilingual functionality available on LawHelp public sites. Topics will include adding resources in other languages and creating a fully translated "mirror" site in another language. This training will also highlight examples of statewide websites currently using this functionality and planning strategies for states interested in translating their site.

JULY
7/17 - Using the Advocate Site Mailings Tool to Support Pro Bono Attorneys
This session will highlight how the probono.net advocate site mailings tool is being used to serve pro bono attorneys. It will showcase strategies for using the tool to place cases, engage volunteers and serve members, drawing on examples from around the advocate site network. The training will also give a nuts and bolts overview of the administrative functions of the mailings tool.

AUGUST
8/21 - Advocate Site Reporting Features
This session will provide an introduction, or a refresher, on how to find and understand the content and usage reporting tools available on your probono.net advocate site. This training will discuss both Geo and Area reports. This is an introductory training for advocate site admin staff to the reporting tools.
