On January 29, 2007, LSC-funded Legal Aid of West Virginia (LAWV) launched a new website to assist low-income people with their civil legal needs. The website, www.lawv.net, will act as a clearinghouse for information that is important to low-income people with civil legal problems. The website allows people to search for the legal aid office nearest to them, provides answers to questions about civil legal aid, and contains an extensive library of resources with information about dealing with common legal problems. Adrienne Worthy, executive director of LAWV, says, "We only have 37 lawyers statewide and this website will allow us to help a whole base of people that we would otherwise have not been able to reach."
