Organization Description:

The mission of the Homeless Action Center is to provide high quality legal services to people who are homeless and mentally ill while respecting the dignity of each person. HAC provides legal representation and assistance to homeless and low-income residents of Alameda County in claims for public benefits. HAC represents individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including Cambodian refugees, previously incarcerated individuals, children in foster care, survivors of domestic violence, and homeless veterans, to name but a few.
