Florida Rural Legal Services (Ft. Pierce)

Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. is a federally funded non-profit that provides free legal services to the indigent meeting the federally mandated poverty guidelines and merit guidelines as set up by various Bar Associations through their Pro Bono projects. The Fort Pierce office covers the entire 19th Judicial Circuit. This includes, Martin, St. Lucie, Okeechobee, and Indian River Counties. Typical cases handled on a pro bono basis are Family Law, Housing (Foreclosure, Lanlord / Tenant), Education, Elder Law, Public Benefits, Labor and Employment, and others.

FRLS provides malpractice insurance for those cases handled through its pro bono projects. FRLS maintains and provides a record of pro bono hours for volunteers.
