Image: Students at the Northeast Technology Center in Claremore are helping Legal Aid by creating a series of videos about the garnishment process.

Each video is a very short animation explaining an aspect of the garnishment process.

Mitchell McCollough, Rhett Chanley, Colby Madden, and Zach Wolfe (pictured lf to rt) are participants of the EAST project, a specific educational program for students interested in pursuing web development, advertising, video game production, animation, GIS mapping, and photography-related careers.

These students have a variety of educational pursuits but are teaming up to design and produce this series of animated videos for Legal Aid to use in conjunction with a garnishment exemption project.

This garnishment exemption project, developed and piloted in Rogers County, involves the creation of online materials and online form for producing the court form:  Request for Hearing and Claim for Exemption, used in garnishment proceedings statewide.

The videos will be used to educate the public specifically about the garnishments and about using the online forms.

The Rogers County garnishment project is part of a larger effort to produce online forms for statewide use. Forms are developed locally, then rolled out statewide. Interested in this Self-Help Forms Project?
