Homeless Veterans Stand Down Event in Tulsa, April 16, 2011

According to Keith B. Bartsch, Tulsa attorney and founder of a monthly free legal clinic at John 3:16 mission, "our Tulsa Stand Down is a single day event where homeless and/or indigent veterans can link-up with various federal, state and local agencies that can assist them. Also on site will be, free medical screenings and basic services, hot food, haircuts, clothing and footwear."

This is an annual event in Tulsa. This year the Stand Down will be held on Saturday, April 16th, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Veterans Only from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The Stand Down will be held at 424 South Detroit, on the campus of First Baptist Church at Tulsa.

Services and partners will include food, clothing, health screenings, First Baptist Church, John 3:16, VA Mental Health and Social Work services, Veterans Treatment Court, Vet Center, VA Readjustment Counseling, VA benefits counselors,
service officers, Clary Sage (haircuts), Mental Health Association of Tulsa, Workforce Oklahoma, Legal Aid Services, Social Security, DHS, DAV, US Cellular, Community Voice Mail, Muscogee Nation, Child Support Enforcement, Tulsa Technology Center, and many more…
