The Practising Law Institute is offering a free one-hour audio briefing entitled Remedies for Victims of Human Trafficking, on July 9, 2013, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Eastern.

The newly reauthorized Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPRA) is the cornerstone of federal anti-trafficking law. This legislation provides a variety of remedies for victims and survivors of human trafficking, including providing immigration status as a form of humanitarian relief.

Please join Ivy O. Suriyopas, Director of the Anti-Trafficking Initiative at the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund, for a free one-hour briefing on the TVPRA of 2013. AALDEF, founded in 1974, is a national organization that protects and promotes the civil rights of Asian Americans.
