VAWA 2013: What's New? What's Left to Do?

On March 7, 2013, the President signed the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization into law, after nearly two years of Congressional debate. In addition to the headline issues (immigration, LGBT access, and Tribal jurisdiction), VAWA 2013 contains many important changes, including new permissible purposes, consolidated programs, and accountability requirements.
