DREAMers - Legal Rights of Immigrant Students (Free Webinar)

Friday December 02
2016

The Center for Human Rights and Constitutional Law (CHRCL) invites you to a series of Friday lunch webinars, free of cost and CLE eligible. Each webinar will include a 60-minute presentation, followed by a 30-minute strategic discussion for those who wish to join the discussion. Participants will receive an electronic copy of CHRCL’s practice advisories on the subject matters covered.

The webinars outlined below will be facilitated by Peter Schey, Executive Director of the Center for Human Rights and Constitutional Law. The Center has won major class action state and federal impact cases and has trained hundreds of attorneys and paralegals in the past.

This webinar we will review the legal rights of immigrant students, with a particular focus on DREAM-ers. We will explore pathways to legalization, access to education and scholarships, availability of international travel, legal protections in the event the DREAMER program is terminated and administrative steps a new Administration could take to strengthen the legal position of DREAMers.
