Despite overwhelming scientific evidence of climate change and its devastating impacts on the environment and human health, most Americans are not concerned enough to take action or to encourage others to act. In light of this problem, the City Bar hosted a conference that brought together thought leaders from diverse sectors of the New York City metropolitan area to develop a strategy aimed at significantly increasing public awareness of climate change impacts.

The outcomes of the conference, including strategy and planned next steps, are detailed in the City Bar's Report on the New York City Bar Association's Program on Opportunities to Raise Public Awareness about Climate Change and the Need for Action, September 14, 2016, which is available here. Start your day with coffee and a light breakfast while you learn more about this important effort and the planned next steps - a limited number of hard copies of the report will be available at the event.
