To be an effective advocate it is important to understand the distinction between Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). This training highlights the differences between the two programs and teaches advocates how the programs interact with each other. You will gain insight into the eligibility criteria for both SSI and SSDI, understand the ongoing requirements for maintaining the benefits and learn the type of health insurance recipients receive with each benefit. Cost of workshop is $50.00. Online registration required at: http://benefitsplus.cssny.org/home/training
