Designed for professionals who work with young adults age 16 to 24 years old, this workshop will provide information and resources to assist you as you help your client apply for Cash Assistance. We will cover the rules on eligibility when a young adult is living with parents/ guardians or when s/he is emancipated, what their rights and responsibilities are, as well as Cash Assistance program requirements in reference to young adults (work activities and education rights). We will provide strategies and techniques you can use to advocate when your clients experience common challenges such as when a Job Center does not allow a young adult to apply.

Note: This is an advanced training and knowledge of basic Cash Assistance eligibility and application requirements is required.

Cost of workshop is $50.00. Online registration required at: http://benefitsplus.cssny.org/home/training
