Description of Session: Human Rights First staff attorney Lori Adams will focus on pro bono opportunities in refugee and asylum law. Clients of Human Rights First's pro bono representation program have fled from political, religious, ethnic, and gender-based persecution in countries plagued by human rights violations. The substantive training will focus on some of the key issues in asylum law and will introduce pro bono attorneys to representing asylum-seekers before the Asylum Office and the Immigration Courts. This session will also help volunteer attorneys and prospective volunteer attorneys learn about where to find resources to support their pro bono asylum work.

Please note this training does not provide CLE credit.
