Fried Frank’s Lisa Levy to Receive 2013 Cornerstone Award

Fried Frank tax partner Lisa Levy has been selected by the Lawyers Alliance for New York as a 2013 Cornerstone Award recipient for her work on behalf of Beyond the Bricks Project, FoodFight and Multicultural Leadership Program, Inc., guiding the nonprofit organizations through the process of incorporation and tax exemption. Ms. Levy will be recognized at an event on Wednesday, November 6. Lisa Levy is a tax partner resident in Fried Frank's New York office. She is an expert in domestic and cross-border tax issues relating to capital markets and financing transactions. She regularly represents US and foreign issuers, borrowers, private equity funds and investment banks in a variety of transactions, such as equity and debt offerings, mezzanine and high-yield securities, hybrid securities and tender offers, including offerings by REITs, business development companies and foreign shipping companies. She also has significant experience advising on private equity fund formations, asset and insurance securitizations and mergers and acquisitions. Since 1997, Lawyers Alliance has presented Cornerstone Awards to a select group of individuals and institutions that have made extraordinary contributions through pro bono legal services. These services help nonprofits to address critical human needs and improve the quality of life for thousands of low-income New Yorkers.
