Since the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and Cuba, the countries have been moving tentatively toward the possibility of deeper collaboration and expansion of joint economic opportunities. However, many questions remain about what policies have actually changed and what practical impact these changes will have on both US and Cuban legal frameworks, particularly with regard to business and trade regulations, labor protections and other restrictions on foreign investment.
