Consumer Debt Collection For DV Practitioners

Topics:
  • Consumer
  • Family/DV

This training will provide an overview of consumer debt collection practices for domestic violence advocates. It is also geared towards practitioners interested in participating in DV-CLARO, a pilot project which will team up consumer law experts and domestic violence legal services providers. Teams will provide limited legal advice and, as appropriate, will make referrals for full representation. Out of this effort, pilot participants will develop best practices for assisting survivors with consumer debt issues.
