The City Bar Justice Center will be hosting its fourth Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) clinic since September on November 1st from 2pm- 5pm.  The clinic will be located at the New York City Bar Association.  Fifteen immigration experts and an additional thirty attorneys will volunteer at the clinic next month.  Two hundred attorneys were trained at the Justice Center’s DACA training in early September.

The DACA program, announced in June by the Obama administration, gives a two-year, renewable reprieve from deportation to undocumented immigrants who came to the United States before age 16, are in school, high school graduates or military veterans, and meet certain other criteria.  As of October 10, 2012, USCIS  has received 179,794 applications for Deferred Action.
