This webinar offers training on consumer debt defense amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. We will give an overview of the work that our staff attorneys and volunteers typically do in our CLARO program. We will also discuss the COVID-19 related consumer protections afforded under Federal and State law, including those affecting credit scores, student loans and renters. Since the pandemic struck, our New York courts that hear consumer cases have been upended -- we will review the current state of the courts, the progress that has been made and what lies ahead in these uncertain times. Finally, we will talk about how we have continued to serve our CLARO clients remotely and our plans to continue and expand this service through the CLARO Remote Pilot Project.

Please register for the CLE by noon on Monday, August 3rd (see the register button below), so that we can send you a link to the Zoom meeting. Space is limited.
